Whose income has to be lower?+

As a rule, each family member's taxable income under the regime must be below the main applicant's. The exact comparison can be nuanced, so a lawyer confirms it for your household before filing.

What happens to my family if my own situation changes?+

The family position follows the main applicant while the main applicant remains validly in the regime. If the main applicant renounces or is excluded, that carries across to the family; if one family member stops meeting their own conditions, that affects that person only and the rest continue. A divorce or annulment does not, by itself, end the regime for the spouse who joined. These rules sit in the regulation, and we check every date in your household before anything is filed.
